Advanced Dental Technology Stratford

Better Results, Greater Experiences

At Stratford Smiles, the technologies we use are designed to not only deliver more efficient and effective treatment but also produce superior results while enhancing a patient’s experience. Dr. Sheng’s knowledge of the latest innovations led her to incorporate some of the best equipment and devices into our Stratford office so that accuracy, precision, and reduced recovery times are the expectation. Feel free to learn more about the technologies we use in-house and call us if you have any questions.

Digital X-Rays

Digital X-rays are safe, quick, and comfortable. Using the latest technology, we can create crisp, high-resolution images of your mouth’s structure, so we can make accurate diagnoses and treatment plans. Digital X-rays use only a fraction of the radiation as traditional film, so you can rest easily. Most patients receive one or two full sets of X-rays every year, but we may recommend additional imaging in the case of a dental emergency, or if we find an oral health issue that we need to investigate further.

Soft Tissue Laser

While the thought of oral surgery and periodontal care may seem daunting, laser dentistry has revolutionized how these procedures are performed. Our soft tissue laser utilizes a highly focused beam of light to perform a wide variety of treatments and can be used in place of invasive methods for greater comfort and faster recovery. Get in touch with us today to find out how you can benefit from laser dentistry!

Digital Impressions

Our iTero intraoral scanner replaces the need for cold, messy dental putty – the kind that once caused many patients to gag and dread dental impressions. Now, with the help of this handheld device, we can easily scan a patient’s teeth and bite to generate a 3D model that lab technicians can use to successfully fabricate a comfortable and long-lasting restoration.

CT/Cone Beam Scanner

When preparing for dental implant placement or root canal treatment, Dr. Sheng relies on high-resolution imaging to produce a comprehensive plan. This is why she uses the CT/Cone Beam Scanner. With a 360-degree rotating arm, it captures images of an individual’s oral anatomy and facial structure so that proper analysis and preparation lead to the best possible results.

Digital Cavity Detection

Early detection of dental decay and cavities is important if restorative care is to be avoided. To further assist in reducing the need for dental fillings and crowns, Dr. Sheng can use our digital cavity detection system. Using Niri technology, we can spot the earliest signs of tooth decay and develop a plan to eliminate it before it worsens.
